As a beginning of the annual report of Research Center of Structural Thermodynamics No.34, I would like to thank all related people for their kind supports and understanding of our research and educational activities. This year is the fifth year of the ten year project of RCST. Development of original thermodynamic instruments and performing accurate and reliable thermodynamic measurements of various materials are important missions for our Center. We would like to devote our efforts to finding new aspects of materials through thermodynamic discussions. Here, we report our research activities in this year.
The member of the Steering Committee for the Center consists of Professors Koichi Fukase (natural product chemistry), Noriaki Hanasaki (solid state physics), Toshiaki Munakata (surface chemistry), Takahiro Sato (macromolecular assemblies), Haruhiko Takisawa (biological nuclear function), Satoshi Tsukahara (analytical chemistry) and myself (condensed matter physical chemistry). Prof. Akira Inaba has retired from Osaka University at the end of March, 2013. On behalf of all staff members and students related to the Center, I cordially thank his high research and educational activities and administrational devotion for directing RCST and Department of Science. The staff members as of November 1, 2013 are as follows:
Assoc. Prof. | MIYAZAKI, Yuji
Assoc. Prof. | NAGANO, Yatsuhisa
Asst. Prof. | TAKAJO, Daisuke
Adm. Official | ABE, Takako
Prof. | SATO, Takahiro | (Dept. of Macromolecular Science) |
Prof., Director | NAKAZAWA, Yasuhiro | (Dept. of Chemistry) |
Asst. Prof. | YAMASHITA, Satoshi | (Dept. of Chemistry) |
The students involved are as follows:
The papers presented in International/National Conferences as well as those published in 2012/2013 are listed in separate pages. Details of our research activities can also be found at URL: http://www.chem.sci.osaka-u.ac.jp/lab/micro/index.html.en..
