The 60th Calorimetry Conference (CALCON 2005) was held at NIST, Gaithersburg, USA from 26 June to 1 July, 2005. Conference Chair was Prof. Michael T. Henzl at University of Missouri-Columbia. The participants were about 120, of which Japanese participants were 7. This conference consisted of Huffman Award Lecture, Christensen Award Lecture, plenary lectures, as well as six symposia (Pharmaceutical Materials, Thermodynamic Database, Solid State Thermodynamics/Nanomaterials, Biothermodynamics, Fluid Phase Thermodynamics, and New Techniques in Calorimetry) and one special symposium Huffman Honorary Symposium. Dr. Yuji Miyazaki gave an invited presentation at Solid State Thermodynamics/Nanomaterials and a poster presentation.
